Nachman Gabai, 21 years old from Jerusalem, landed on a flight from Tel Aviv on his way to India. In the field, local police asked him to identify himself and search him - and due to the post-trauma from which he suffers, he spoke bluntly to them. Nachman Gabai, a 21-year-old man from Jerusalem was arrested (Monday) at the Abu Dhabi airport.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the case is recognized and handled, both by the Department for Israelis Abroad in the Consular Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and by the Abu Dhabi Consul.

A tax collector who landed on a flight from Tel Aviv, was supposed to wait about 8 hours for a connecting flight to India, during which he left the terminal and stood beside another Israeli outside it, when policemen in a car stopped nearby and asked him to identify himself and then search him at the station in the field.

As far as is known, due to post-trauma from which he suffers, he was very excited about the matter, sweated and spoke bluntly to the police.

They transferred him to the station for a thorough search of his luggage and his body, stripped, and he was even more stressed in response.

Nothing found.

But in the meantime he continued his behavior and was arrested for two days.

Today he was brought before a judge who extended his detention for another week.

He is suspected of disturbing public order and insulting a public servant.

Next week he is expected again before a judge and in the meantime his family in Israel is recruiting a lawyer for him to represent him.

"Nachman is a special guy, with the biggest heart I've ever known," his girlfriend Carol told Walla!.

"The second you look into his eyes you see who he is. Nachman loves everyone and everyone loves him, and always helps those who need it - even if it comes at his own expense. He has a high sensitivity to turning him around, Nachman has a well-developed sense of justice, he finds it difficult to see social injustices of any kind They probably revolted mainly against what he interpreted as the disrespect and inhumanity he encountered. Nachman is diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, and when he gets into situations of distress he reacts in an uncalculated, emotional and extreme way - which came across as disrespect and insolence to the police officers there."

"He reacts badly to stressful situations due to post-trauma, and he probably reacted in a very unpleasant way, but that's all his sin," added his mother Ronit.

"The guy who was next to him said that he really panicked, but they interpreted it as if he had something to hide while he was afraid that they were going to do things to him. It's a misunderstanding that got more and more complicated and I hope it will be resolved soon."
