The Director General of the General Corporation for Meats, Engineer Khaled Hilal, announced that the Corporation has produced 5576 tons of milk and meat so far in all the establishments operating in the various governorates.
Hilal said in a statement to SANA reporter: Al-Mabaqer facilities produced 5407 tons of milk out of the total planned plan of 6430 tons, with an implementation rate of 84 percent, while 169 tons of meat were produced out of a total of 203 tons planned for production, with an implementation rate of 83 percent, indicating that the number of births during The aforementioned period amounted to 692 newborns, and the planned 968 births, with an implementation rate of 71 percent.
Helal pointed out that there are four dairy cows currently in service with good production capacity, which are Jeb Ramla, Homs, Ghouta and Fadyo in Lattakia. .
He pointed out that the corporation's production of meat is marketed to the Syrian Corporation for Trade to sell it to citizens at reduced prices, and other quantities of it are sold to the private sector.
