While it was impossible to know in advance with certainty how long the semi-final of the World Cup between France and Morocco would end, one thing was certain - the riots at the end.
The many Moroccans scattered throughout Europe took over the streets of the biggest cities during the tournament and set the area on fire, and tonight (Wednesday) after the 2:0 loss to the Tricolor that put an end to the dream, the riots started a few minutes after the final whistle.
In Montpellier there were violent clashes between the fans of the Moroccan team and those of France who came out to celebrate the promotion to the final.

In Brussels, the capital of Belgium, the fans watching the match returned to the street immediately after the final whistle and started shooting fireworks at the police forces on the spot.
Another video shows how the fans shout at a man who lives in a nearby building for the simple reason that the French flag hangs on his balcony.
A few seconds later the man removed the flag and returned to his house.
The riots also reached the victorious country of France, with videos from the city of Montpellier showing fans of the Moroccan national team taking over a central square in the city and shooting off fireworks.
