The old religious Zionist rabbi was transferred to Hadassah Ein Kerem after he felt ill at home • The Bnei Akiva movement together with other parties in the national religious sector will hold a prayer rally at the Western Wall for his healing • "The general public is called to join the prayers for his healing"

Rabbi Chaim Druckman, the elder of the religious Zionist rabbis, was evacuated today (Wednesday) to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem after his condition worsened.

On Saturday evening, his family was informed that he had contracted the corona virus and his condition was then described as serious but stable.

After several days in which he was treated by doctors at his home, there was an aggravation today from the morning hours and therefore it was decided to transfer the rabbi to the hospital for comprehensive tests and treatment as needed.

His associates say that his condition is still defined as serious and stable.

In an unusual step, following the announcement of the rabbi's worsening condition, Knesset member Ohad Tal (Religious Zionism) asked the head of the finance committee, MK Moshe Gafni, to read a chapter of Psalms for the rabbi's recovery. His family and students ask to pray for the recovery of Rabbi Haim Meir ben Milkha.

His condition deteriorated.

Following the rabbi's condition, tomorrow evening the Bnei Akiva movement, along with other parties in the national religious sector, will hold a central prayer rally for his recovery at the Western Wall.

"Rabbi Chaim Druckman has led and led the Bnei Akiva movement for decades with strength and humility. The movement calls on the general public to take part in the prayer for his healing - both by joining the prayer at the Western Wall and individually in his place," the movement said.

The secretary general of Bnei Akiva, Yigal Klein, said that "our teacher and rabbi, Rabbi Druckman, did his whole life for the people of Israel.

Now, the rabbi needs the prayers of all of us.

We must pray and cry out to the Creator of the world for the rabbi's healing so that he will continue to guide us throughout the days and years."
