The general manager of Rapidus, the Japanese semiconductor consortium recently formed by eight prestigious local manufacturers (including Toyota and Sony), with the blessing of the Ministry of Industry (Meti), insists on the importance of the moment: an alliance with the American computer services giant IBM to eventually mass-produce semiconductors with a size of 2 nanometers in Japan.
