Onset of winter in Germany: "Quite icy" - DWD warns of the coldest night of winter

It was particularly cold last night in the Swabian Alb, where less than minus ten degrees were measured.
It also snowed in some regions, for example in the south, in Lusatia and in parts of Hesse.
The police sometimes warned of slippery roads.
In North Rhine-Westphalia, a section of Autobahn 44 had to be temporarily closed due to black ice and accidents.

Weather in Germany: According to the current weather forecast, snowfall will continue in eastern Germany
As the DWD expert said, it should remain frosty during the day on Sunday, only on the coasts and on the Lower Rhine is it likely to be warmer than zero degrees.

During the day, the maximum values are widespread at minus four to zero degrees, on the Lower Rhine and along the coasts the values can rise to two degrees.
