A picture of the devastation presented itself after the act in Wessling: The ATM (in the background) was completely destroyed, and the thick armored door flew across the room.

The self-service terminal is also no longer functional.

As a precaution, the district savings bank closed some branches afterwards, but intends to reopen them soon.

The district savings bank plans to reopen closed locations due to the series of ATM blasts in the near future.

District

– The Kreissparkasse München Starnberg Ebersberg wants to reopen its closed self-service branches in Gilching (Dornierstraße), Inning and Percha at the beginning of next year.

The bank announced this yesterday.

"A reopening of all locations that were closed as a precaution is planned in principle in the course of January," said a press release.

“Until then, protective systems will be installed on site to deter possible perpetrators.

These include video surveillance systems and money coloring systems that color-code banknotes in the event of an attack or other violent access.”

As reported, the district savings bank closed the three branches earlier this month after there were three bomb attacks on ATMs in the distribution area within seven weeks.

The Sparkasse had classified the branches in Gilching, Inning and Percha as particularly at risk due to certain factors such as the location, design or type of ATM.

However, this step had caused resentment, especially in the inning.

The Kreissparkasse pointed out again yesterday that affected customers may switch to other locations.

“On-site notices provide information about the nearest options.” If customers withdraw money from another local bank due to the temporary closure and fees are incurred, the savings bank will replace them unbureaucratically.

In the meantime, the Sparkasse has also decided to repair the self-service branch in Weßling, which was blown up on November 9th, next year.

At the specific point in time, however, "due to uncertain delivery dates for the required components", no statement can be made.
