Trump is the first to announce that he will run for the White House in 2024.

However, his grip on the Republican Party appears to be weakening.

His colleagues blamed him for the poor performance of Republican candidates loyal to him in last month's midterm elections.

In addition, he was criticized for meeting with anti-Semitic rapper Kanye West and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes.

Trump said he did not know about Fuentes' views before meeting with him.

The survey found that the rate of support for Trump among Republicans dropped from 75% in October to 64% in December.

Dissatisfaction with Trump rose from 18% to 23% that month.

President Joe Biden, according to the survey, leads in a theoretical match against Trump 47% compared to 40%.

DeSantis leads Biden by 4% in that case - 47% against 43%.
