The stabbing incident at the school in Rehovot:
a hearing will be held today (Wednesday) at the Magistrate's Court in Rishon Lezion to extend the detention of the four suspects in the incident.
Last night, a 16-year-old high school student was seriously injured by some young men who broke into the school during a school day and stabbed the boy.
MDA medics and paramedics arrived at the high school, and evacuated the student to the Kaplan Medical Center suffering from a penetrating injury to his body.

"Lost Generation"
Shortly after the stabbing incident, Rehovot station police located four people involved, an 18-year-old adult and three minors, some of whom were located in their homes while they were asleep.
"This is a lost generation," said the mother of one of the suspects outside the court hearing. "My child is a good child, but he hangs out with people who do nonsense.

The suspects, who are not students of the school, stabbed the boy in the principal's room and immediately fled.
The student who was stabbed left around 11:00 from the school gate, where the suspects ambushed him.
In response, he fled into the school grounds, and the suspects chased him.
The boy ran to the manager's room, who was not present, and there he was stabbed.
According to the police, the background to the incident is criminal.
The student was stabbed in front of his friends and teacher and apparently had a conflict with the stabbers.
The main suspicion is that they jumped over the school fence.

The spokeswoman for the Schneider Center said that the boy from the stabbing incident who was operated on yesterday at the Schneider Pediatric Center is now in the intensive care unit being sedated and ventilated.
His condition is stable but continues to be difficult.
The family is not interested in the media and requests that their privacy be respected.
