- It's getting colder and colder and the entire Tölzer Land is covered with a thick layer of glittering snow.

Many look longingly in the direction of Brauneck, waiting for the start of the ski season.

Making the first turns on the slopes of the Brauneck seems to work this weekend, says "Alpen Plus" press spokeswoman Antonia Asenstorfer when asked.

The cable car has been running again since December 3rd.

"All the cable cars and lifts except for the circus lift and Idealhang are expected to go into operation at the weekend," writes Asenstorfer in a daily press release.

The routes for cross-country skiers have already been rolled in some places, such as here at the Lahnerstubn.

These days one is on the Isarwinkl local mountain in the final stages of preparation for the ski season.

"Everyone is currently working at full speed," says Asenstorfer.

At the moment the slopes would be snowed and rolled.

"Now that everything is finally white, our team still has to apply the edge and slope markings." This has top priority.

"The edge markings are essential for complying with the traffic safety obligation," explains Asenstorfer.

"There are actually a lot of regulations and it's quite complex." However, she is confident that the work for the start of the season will be completed by the weekend.

Winter toboggan run on Blomberg open on Saturdays and Sundays

Information signs, poles and machines for the fee are partially already attached and set up on the cross-country ski runs.

According to the municipality's website, the trails are still not passable.

Some stretches have already been rolled.

Should more snow fall, tracks for the skating and classic trails will be made with the trail setter.

On the Blomberg there was a spontaneous start to the season on Sunday and the winter toboggan run was open.

All facilities at Blomberg are now always open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During the winter holidays, the facilities are open every day.
