"He shot his mother and ran away":

An indictment was filed today (Thursday) against Roni Abu Ouad, 26 years old, on suspicion of murdering his 57-year-old mother Abtisam Abu Ouad in her home in the town of Ein al-Assad in the Upper Galilee about a month ago.

According to the indictment, filed by attorney Ronit Granik Sofer, on the morning of November 17, Ibtisam left her home in the morning for a walk in the village.

At the same time, her son, who also lived in the house, went to the bedroom, took a hunting rifle that his father has a license for and loaded it with ammunition.

This is after he formed a decision to kill his mother.

When Ibtisam returned to her house, she noticed her son holding a weapon.

She asked him to throw away the weapon, but he did not respond to her request, pointed the weapon at her - and shot her with one bullet that hit her in the chest area.

After that, while his mother's body was lying on the floor at the entrance to the house, the defendant picked up the ejected ammunition pouch and threw it in the trash, went to the bedroom and placed the weapon there.

Immediately after that, the accused left the house, got into the car and drove away.

The crimes Abu Awad is accused of are murder under aggravated circumstances, weapons offenses, and traffic offenses.

The prosecution asked to arrest the accused until the end of the legal proceedings.
