According to the Observatory, an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 occurred in Taiwan at 12:03 p.m. today (15th). The epicenter was located near 23.70 degrees north latitude and 121.80 degrees east longitude, which is about 37 kilometers southeast of Hualien and about 800 kilometers east-northeast of Hong Kong.
Some citizens reported to the Observatory that they felt the earthquake.

According to the preliminary analysis of the Hong Kong Observatory, an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 occurred in Taiwan at 12:03 pm today.
The Observatory said it received reports from several citizens that they felt the earthquake, and the shaking lasted for a few seconds.
Preliminary analysis shows that the seismic intensity in Hong Kong is II (two) degree of the revised Mercalli seismic intensity scale, that is, people who are on the upper floors of buildings or in suitable locations, and who are stationary.
