The police this morning (Thursday) filed a prosecutor's statement against six residents of the center and the north on suspicion of their involvement in the murder of 29-year-old Mor Toizer in Kiryat Ata about a month and a half ago.
The suspects in the murder and involvement in it are four men and two women, three of the suspects have family ties and the two suspects are the spouses of two of them.
Later, an indictment will be filed against another suspect.
Toizer, married and father of a 4-year-old girl, a resident of Kiryat Bialik, was shot to death in the evening last October by a vehicle that stuck to him, while he was riding a scooter in Kiryat Ata.
He was mortally wounded and died of his wounds at the Rambam Hospital in Haifa three days later. It was already understood at the outset that the victim had no criminal record or conflict that could have led to the heinous act and the investigators did not understand why he was shot. After two weeks of investigation, the HJM detectives were able to track down seven suspects involved in the murder. It turns out that the source of the shooting was a conflict that stemmed from the slander directed at a girl. The investigation shows that three of the suspects arrived in their car in Kiryat Ata and mistakenly believed that Toizer was their target. They followed him at the northern entrance to the city - on Yitzhak Rabin Road and near Market Street, They clung to a scooter on which a vehicle was riding, shot it and fled. The gun from which the shots were fired was not found, but the vehicle from which the shots were fired was found, as well as forensic evidence found inside it. The police say that they have many more pieces of evidence that link all the suspects to the fact, each and every one of them had a part in the murder.
