The Ministry of Transport announced the operation of additional passenger trains today and tomorrow between Latakia and Tartous and vice versa, to serve and transport the largest possible number of citizens.
The ministry said in a statement today: “Given the heavy demand on trains between Tartous and Latakia, especially in light of the current circumstances, the General Corporation for Railways is making every effort to mitigate the transportation crisis, to meet the needs of citizens, and to contribute to serving them through rapid intervention in operating exceptional additional trips or adding trolleys to handle the overcrowding.
The ministry added: “An additional exceptional train will be set up today at 6:30 pm from Tartous to Lattakia, and another flight tomorrow, Friday, at 4:00 pm from Lattakia to Tartous, while maintaining the Saturday trip according to the usual schedules despite the official holiday.”
