Body discovered in the Cologne forest: "Indications point to violent crimes"

Terrible find in Cologne: a walker discovered a corpse in the Königsforst.

"Indications point to violent crimes," said the Cologne police.

Cologne – In the Königsforst, a walker discovered a male corpse on Tuesday morning.

"The autopsy carried out today revealed indications that point to a violent crime," said the police and public prosecutor in Cologne.

There are also first indications of the identity of the dead man.

"According to initial findings, the dead man is said to be a 30-year-old man from Cologne," the police and public prosecutor's office said.

The man was reported missing on November 18, reports 24RHEIN.

The body was found on Tuesday morning, December 13, by a walker in a wooded area in the Königsforst in the Rath-Heumar district (Cologne-Kalk district).

"The autopsy carried out today revealed indications that point to a violent crime." A homicide commission was set up.

"The investigations into the crime and the background are ongoing." The police and the Cologne public prosecutor's office have not yet given any further details about the body found and the possible crime.

It is not known how long the body had been in the royal forest.

About a month has passed since the missing person was reported.

Not the only horror message from Cologne this week: in Nippes on Tuesday, a few-week-old baby was shaken so violently that it died in the hospital on Thursday afternoon.

The father was arrested by the Cologne police.
