Many families are already looking around for offers for a cheap summer holiday in 2023.
Despite the price increase, Mallorca is one of the best options.
Next year many families want to spend a relaxing holiday in the sun again.
Due to the impact of inflation and high energy prices, travelers are already looking for cheap deals.
“In addition, we are observing a pent-up demand for trips during the summer holidays.
Apparently not all last-minute wishes were fulfilled in summer 2022 - which explains why many people are now looking for a holiday in summer 2023 very early in order to secure the best offer," says Christoph Heinzmann, tourism expert at

An analysis of the booking portal has revealed where families can spend the cheapest package holidays next year.
Holiday costs are increasing for the summer of 2023: Mallorca is still cheaper than other destinations
In the vast majority of holiday countries, travel costs for the next year will increase.
However, there is hardly any difference on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura - here the price is at the same level as in 2019, on Tenerife the costs increase by only eight percent and on Rhodes holidaymakers expect an increase of nine percent next year.

However, the cheapest travel destination for a family holiday remains the Balearic island of Mallorca - even though the costs are 35 percent higher than before the corona pandemic.
A family of four pays an average of 3,202 euros for a one-week holiday including flight, hotel and transfer during the Easter or summer holidays.
"Holidays are cheap where there are many flight connections and a wide range of hotels," says Christoph Heinzmann.
Gran Canaria is a bit more expensive, but still inexpensive at 3,368 euros under the same conditions.
For the Turkish Riviera, a family pays 3,488 euros for a summer vacation next year.

The popular holiday destination of Crete, on the other hand, has recorded the highest price increase since 2019 with an increase of 71 percent. The Turkish Riviera also costs 45 percent more than before the corona pandemic.
Dubai will be 18 percent cheaper as a travel destination, but the average price for a trip is still 5,695 euros for a family of four.
“The higher travel prices in the coming year can be explained by the higher costs, especially in the areas of energy and personnel.
This has an impact on flight prices and accommodation,” says Christoph Heinzmann.
