Occupied Jerusalem - SANA
The head of the Palestinian Water Authority, Mazen Ghoneim, denounced the Israeli occupation's continued attacks on Palestinian water resources, in flagrant violation of international laws.
Ghoneim said in a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, that the occupation forces closed the water line supplying the Al-Auja community in the city of Jericho in the West Bank, from which 1,200 Palestinians benefit, and destroyed parts of the pipes connecting to it, pointing out that this line is the main water supplier in the region.
Ghoneim indicated that the occupation's goal of its practices is to control the natural resources, and to deprive the Palestinians of their water resources and their right to live on their land.
It is noteworthy that the occupation forces closed yesterday evening the only water line that feeds Al-Auja community by welding it with iron and filling it with stones, thus depriving the families of potable water.
