In his weekly lesson, the Rebbe Rabbi Yosiah Pinto referred to the Torah of the week, which will be read this coming Shabbat in the synagogue

This coming Shabbat we will read in the synagogue Parshath Vishav in which the Holy Torah tells us about Joseph being thrown into a pit by his fellow tribesmen who said to each other: "And they sat down to eat bread.. What did he do because he killed his brother?"

The Rebbe, Rabbi Yosiah Pinto, explained in his lesson that from the Parshas of the week we learn what is the test of a person to know whether his actions are the will of God or not.

And so Rabbi Pinto said in his lesson:

After the holy tribes threw the righteous Yosef into the pit, they sat down and ate bread. The question arises, the tribes They threw their brother, their father's son into a pit full of snakes and scorpions, so that they would feel a little sorry, how can they sit down to eat?

But perhaps it is possible to clarify and say a great foundation, if a person wants to know if something he has done is good or not, he should start doing the thing a little, if He begins to do and feels joy in his heart, this is a sign that it is from God and it is good, and if sadness enters his heart, it is a sign that it is not good.

And so you see when Saul was chasing King David and David was hiding in a cave, suddenly King Saul entered the cave alone.

King David could rise up and kill him, but he didn't know if it was good to kill Saul or not.

David went without Shaul feeling, cut a piece of Shaul's coat and wanted to see if he felt joy in his heart then it was God's will that he kill Shaul, and if he felt sorrow then God's will not to kill Shaul.

And the prophet tells us, "And it came to pass after this, that David's heart went to him because he had cut off the wing of Saul" (Shema 124:5) David had sorrow in his heart and then he left and did nothing to Saul

. Name or not, if there was an urge and they felt joy, they would continue and if they didn't feel joy they would stop.

And so also with Joseph and Potiphar's wife, when Potiphar's wife tried to convince Joseph to sin with her and Joseph did not want to.

Potiphar's wife said to him, I see in the stars that you are going to give birth to a child from me, Yosef said to her. She told him at least come just be with me, if you feel joy in your heart, continue and if you don't back off, Yosef said to her, I can't do such a thing.

So the holy tribes threw Joseph into the pit and said, if we feel joy in our hearts, it means that it is God's will, and if we feel sorrow in our hearts, it is a sign that it is not God's will, and we will take him out of the pit.

That's why they sat down to eat, because it was a test to see what God's will was in the matter, and when they felt joy in their hearts they said it was true law.
