The Mexican president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, made an unusual request this Wednesday: he asked the popular Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Bad Bunny to offer a free concert in the Zócalo in Mexico City.
The president made the request during his daily morning conference, at a time when Mexico is investigating the sale of fake tickets through the Ticketmaster platform for the sought-after concert that Bad Bunny gave on Friday at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico.
As a result of the scam, many fans lost the opportunity to see the singer

“I know you are exhausted and tired, because you work a lot, but I ask you to consider the possibility of coming to Mexico, to the Zócalo.
Hopefully he will come," said the president, who clarified that it would be free of charge because "we cannot pay him: it would have to be his collaboration."
López Obrador added that it gave him

Mexican authorities said that many tickets purchased through Ticketmaster were cloned.
"The inconveniences in the accesses were the consequence of
the presentation of an unprecedented number of false tickets
," the company said.
The Mexican prosecutor, Ricardo Sheffield, who is investigating the fraud, launched strong accusations against Ticketmaster, saying that "corrupt and criminals" work in the company and that some 2,000 tickets were oversold.
At least 14 people had been arrested on Friday in Mexico for the acquisition of 22 false tickets that were allegedly being resold, said the Secretary of Citizen Security.

In the Zócalo of the Mexican capital, high-profile artists such as Shakira, Vicente Fernández, Los Tigres del Norte, among many others, frequently perform.
But free performances are rare.
“We take care of the stage and the lights.
Of course, not so spectacular, because I was seeing how he came out there in the Azteca flying in a palm tree and that is not possible here.
A zip line, yes, I can put it on ”, the president proposed.
The scandal of false tickets in Mexico comes just days after Ticketmaster was accused of the chaos in the sale of tickets for the upcoming tour of the American singer Taylor Swift

So far, Bad Bunny has not ruled on López Obrador's request.
The artist recently told
