An unusual duo was seen several times in Munich on Tuesday, including in the subway.

It is a tourist with his Nandu "Francelj".

Update from December 14, 9:30

a.m .: On Tuesday (December 13), an ostrich-like animal with its “master” made Munich unsafe.

The duo was sighted in several parts of the city (see first report).

As it turns out, the animal is not an ostrich, but a nandu.

The two are not in Munich for the first time either, in August they caused a stir in the state capital.

Several media reported about the travel duo at the time, including

It is a tourist from Slovenia, Janez Cetin, who has often made Europe unsafe with his Nandu.

By picking its beak on the map of Europe, the animal should be able to choose its own travel destinations.

The unusual duo is traveling with a caravan team.

The Nandu bears the name "Francelj".

First report from December 13:

Munich – It must have been a strange sight on Tuesday in Munich: a bouquet in a subway station.

A TikTok user filmed the whole thing and posted it on the video sharing platform, captioning it, "I'm taking my pet on the subway." Within hours, the clip was shared over 500 times.

You can see a man walking with a bouquet in the subway station on Fraunhoferstrasse.

As a train pulls in, the man grabs the bird and pushes it toward the subway doors.

The people around seem confused by the sight.

Strauss on the Munich subway: "What's going on with Munich"

The clip is making waves on TikTok.

Several users comment that they also saw the bird in Munich.

"Suddenly stood next to me today" or "I saw him in the valley too" can be read.

Others are annoyed that they did not witness the unusual spectacle.

"Oh my God, I live here and don't get anything like that," writes a disappointed user.

"Why don't I ever see anything like that?" complains another person.

"What's going on with Munich?" one of them asked, stunned.

"The poor animal." A photo of the man and his bouquet are also circulating in the Jodel app.

Recorded according to the author at 12 noon on Königsplatz.

However, when asked why the man was traveling with the animal, the Jodel user could not give an answer.

"Unfortunately, I don't know the story behind it, I just asked if I could take a picture before I had to get on my subway."

Another person reports that they saw Strauss walking towards Marienplatz at Sendlinger Tor.

“So, a classic Christmas shopping day.

He definitely needs a scarf,” someone replies.

Others see a connection to well-known personalities.

"There is the namesake of the airport!", Writes a user, alluding to the namesake of Munich Airport, Franz Josef Strauss.

"Franz Josef or Richard?" someone wants to know, bringing the German composer into play.

"Engelbert" and "Levi" can also be read in the comments.
