Engineer Abdul Majeed Qalfa, General Manager of the Hama Oil Company, stated that sales of 3 billion and 360 million pounds were achieved during the current year, indicating that the company's sales included 77 tons of cottonseed oil, 1000 tons of cotton meal, 570 tons of lint and 9 tons of soap.
Qalfa pointed out in a statement to SANA reporter that the production amounted from the beginning of this year until last November to about 116 tons of cottonseed oil, 999 tons of meal, 40 tons of lint, and 7 tons of soap, indicating that the company markets all its products to public institutions such as the Syrian Trade and Social Military Institution and halls affiliated to the Ministry of Industry. It also sold directly in the company's hall to citizens at the rate of only two liters per citizen and on the family card.
He added: The company is currently conducting comprehensive electrical and mechanical maintenance work for the company's factory before the start of the cotton seed pressing and refining season.
It is noteworthy that the profits of the Hama Oil Company during the first ten months of this year amounted to about one billion and 265 million and 424 thousand pounds.
