Problems arise on a Lufthansa flight on the way to Frankfurt Airport.

The crew aborts the flight.

Frankfurt – It was an up and down in the truest sense for the passengers on a Lufthansa plane to Frankfurt Airport.

The flight from Chicago had to be cancelled.

This is evident from the flight data of LH-431.

What happened?

Lufthansa's Boeing 747-8 took off from Chicago on December 4, bound for Frankfurt, but problems arose shortly after take-off.

On the way to the flight altitude, the crew noticed complications with the pressurized cabin, which is intended to ensure that people and animals on board stay safely at high altitude, reports fnp.de.

Frankfurt Airport: Lufthansa plane has to turn back to Chicago

As the aviation

portal Aviation Herald

reports, the crew stopped the ascent at 7620 meters.

50 minutes later, already flying over Canadian territory, the crew finally decided to abort the trip to Frankfurt Airport and return to Chicago.

3 hours and 45 minutes after takeoff, the Boeing 747-8 landed back in the US metropolis.

One passenger told the

Aviation Herald

about passengers experiencing ear problems.

However, the oxygen masks on board did not have to be released.

After landing in Chicago, the passengers were rebooked on other flights to Frankfurt.

The Boeing 747-8 followed around 21 hours after the incident and was initially parked at Frankfurt Airport.

Just recently, a Lufthansa plane had to turn around after take-off at Frankfurt Airport after an incident in the cockpit.

Lufthansa recently paid 6,000 euros in compensation to a school class from Austria that was stuck at Frankfurt Airport.
