The national vaccination campaign against the Corona virus, which was launched by the Ministry of Health on the 11th of this month, ended in various governorates, in addition to the oral vaccination campaign against cholera, which was launched on the 4th of the same month.

In Al-Hasakah Governorate, the Director of Health, Dr. Issa Khalaf, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the total number of those who received the vaccine reached 11,700 citizens over the age of 18, indicating that 216 cadres specialized in administering the vaccine were allocated, distributed to 27 fixed health centers. In addition to the modernized medical center “The Pearl” and 29 mobile teams to cover rural areas and areas far from city centers and population centers.

Khalaf pointed out that the Health Directorate is currently preparing to launch the cholera vaccine campaign once the allocated vaccines arrive at the directorate, and it is expected to launch next week.

Thus, the total number of citizens vaccinated with Corona vaccine in all regions of the governorate is about 204,295 people.

In Daraa, about 5,500 citizens of the province benefited from the vaccination campaign against Corona, according to the official in charge of vaccination operations in the Health Directorate, Ajwad Mahameed, who explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the fixed centers and mobile teams vaccinated citizens with two types of vaccine, which are the Chinese Sinopharm and the American Johnson & Johnson.

Mahameed pointed to the efforts made by the Directorate, in cooperation with the local community in the governorate, to make the campaign a success and reach rates close to its plan, which aimed to vaccinate 6,000 citizens.

In As-Suwayda, the cadres of the As-Suwayda Health Directorate completed the vaccination campaign that targeted people over 18 years of age who had not received any dose previously, or did not complete the second dose, or who wish to receive a supportive dose, according to the head of the Department of Public Health Programs at the Directorate of Health, Dr. Nahida Nasr, noting that he accompanied the campaign. And before that, intensive tours were carried out by the educational teams, which included women’s awareness sessions, home visits, government departments, private workplaces, and others in various regions to raise awareness of the importance of receiving the anti-coronavirus vaccine, in order to preserve their safety.

The vaccination campaign was launched last Monday in the governorate, with the participation of 240 health workers covering 39 health centers and 3 hospitals, in addition to six mobile teams in areas where there are no vaccination centers, along with five supervision teams targeting about 64,000 people.

In Raqqa, the cholera vaccination campaign ended in the liberated countryside of the governorate, where the Director of Health, Dr. Ghiath Al-Hamoud, stated that the campaign, which lasted for 10 days, achieved its goals, by covering all areas through 38 fixed centers, 90 mobile teams and a mobile clinic.

In Hama Governorate, the Director of Health, Dr. Jihad Aboura, explained to SANA reporter that the information received from various health regions is being collected to know the total number of beneficiaries of the coronavirus vaccination campaign, indicating that preliminary information indicates that more than 90 percent of the directorate's plan, which aims to To reach about 22,160 people over the age of 18.

He pointed out that the vaccine was provided to people over 18 years old through 136 health centers, 59 medical points, and mobile teams that were able to reach most villages, towns, and small population gatherings that do not have a health center, referring to the great cooperation shown by governmental and private agencies and activities in various regions of the governorate. To achieve the desired goal of the campaign.

As for Idlib governorate, the vaccine official in it, Adel Qaqo, indicated that the six mobile teams that were allocated to implement the campaign were able to reach all villages, towns, and population centers that do not have health centers despite the many difficulties they faced, but the cooperation of those concerned in the governorate contributed to the success of the campaign. He indicated that the health and administrative cadres will be well trained during the next year to ensure the implementation of the upcoming campaigns on a larger scale.
