A soldier and a civilian were killed, and 14 others were wounded, when a roadside bomb exploded in a border area in northwest Pakistan.
The news agency Associated Press quoted Pakistani police as saying: The explosion targeted a convoy of security forces as it was passing through the town of Miran Shah in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province near the Afghan border, pointing out that the explosion damaged nearby shops.
