Joe Biden announced Thursday, December 15, new US aid of $2.5 billion for food security in Africa, during a summit in Washington bringing together some fifty African leaders.
The American president and the African Union have also decided to set up a “
strategic partnership
” to deal with food insecurity in the world, aggravated by the war in Ukraine, according to a joint press release issued during the summit.
