About 25,000 people gathered last night in Paris on the Champs-Elysées, the famous avenue between Place de la Concorde and the Arc de Triomphe, after France's victory against Morocco in the semifinals of the Qatar soccer World Cup.
This is what the French police report, specifying that in total, between Paris and its hinterland, 167 arrests have been triggered, of which 145 in the center of the capital.
Also in Paris, 40 people close to the ultra-right were arrested for "gathering in a group with the aim of perpetrating violence" and carrying a weapon prohibited.
At the national level (excluding the Parisian agglomeration) the police speak of 95 arrests and five injured policemen.
