In the short video she shared, she showed how she does it - and all you need is lemon juice.
In the run-up to Christmas, Lucy did an intensive cleaning of her home - and she started with the kettle where quite a bit of scale had accumulated, as you can see in the video.
The 26-year-old cleaner explained: "I started by pouring some lemon juice in. I used juice from a bottle, but you can use fresh lemon, it will work just as well. I covered the bottom with lemon juice and then added some water. I boiled the kettle and let it sit for 30 minutes until all the scale came off."
Lucy then showed the inside of the kettle and added: "Look, there's barely any scale left in there."
To get rid of any lemony taste, she boiled the kettle a second time - only with water.
She then wiped down the kettle, the lid and the base it sits on.
