BMW defies the criticism of its fans at the Tokyo Auto Salon with a mega M3 kidney.

But the grill is not the only thing worth seeing at the booth.

The kidney belongs to BMW like the Eiffel Tower to Paris.

It is the feature by which everyone recognizes that it is a car from Munich.

But recently, BMW has repeatedly received a lot of criticism for its characteristic grille, which seems to get bigger with every new vehicle.

At the Tokyo Auto Salon (January 13 to 15, 2023), the Munich-based car manufacturer is now going one better and presenting what is probably the largest kidney of all time.

But before the BMW fans get a gasp: No, it's not a new car, but part of this year's booth at the auto show in Japan.

This is open on each side so that the mega kidney is in the center.

The huge grill extends over the entire height of the wall of the exhibition stand.

However, BMW does not reveal exactly how high it is.

However, the portal

Carscoops.com

assumes around 4.2 meters, which would be about as high as three stacked M4.

The model for the mega kidney at the Tokyo Auto Salon is the BMW M3.

The logo of the Munich car manufacturer can be found in the middle above the grill.

There is also an M3 lettering in the upper right corner.

And the sensor for the driver assistance systems is also in place in the mega kidney.

Visitors to the fair can also take a look at the stand through the slats.

And there really is a lot to see there.

For example, BMW promises the Japanese premiere of a still unknown model for the Toyko Auto Salon.

There will also be an M3 with M Performance parts and a special wrap, as well as an M240i with M Performance parts.

And motorsport fans will also get their money's worth thanks to the M4 GT3, which won the Super GT GT300 class race on the Suzuka Circuit in 2022.

In the social media, the reactions to the measuring decency are rather reserved.

If there was still massive criticism for the 7 series, it has been quiet so far (as of December 16th).

Only a few users reacted to the posts from BMW Japan.

  • “Even the grill (of the booth) is huge.

That could surpass Alfa Romeo's huge grille.”

  • "It's amazing how they manage to troll themselves."

  • "Destructive violence.

    Nothing beats this model.”
