Eagerly awaited, Princess Kate and Prince William present themselves with their children on the 2022 Christmas card. Both the motif and the fashion details are surprising.

The photo shows the royal family in jeans and sneakers.

London - The front page of the Daily Mail on Wednesday 14 December summed it up: "Finally something to cheer us all up".

The Christmas card from the royal couple of Wales sends its sunny message precisely on the days when the British are shivering on the one hand from the cold and on the other hand from excessive heating bills.

Kate Middleton (40) and Prince William (40) and their children are not very royal, but like a normal family.

No big show, the family has the trio of children in the middle and walks hand in hand in the sunlight on the Sandringham Estate through Norfolk.

Traditionally, the British royals publish the photos for their Christmas cards in the run-up to Christmas.

A look at the fashion details confirms the low-budget note: Princess Kate wears the Cotu Classic 2750 model from Superga, which is available in Germany from 26 euros.

The Mih Jeans 'Mabel' Broderie Anglaise shirt then costs the equivalent of 296 euros.

Dark jeggings complete the look of the style icon.

Usually Princess Kate likes to take the shutter herself when it comes to pictures of her children.

But with the Christmas mail, she put the task in the hands of a photographer she trusted.

Matt Porteous took the photo.

The photographer has photographed the royals more often.

Among other things, he photographed Prince George on his fifth birthday.

The children have grown up.

Although Prince George (9) and Princess Charlotte (7) were seen at Queen Elizabeth's (96, † 2022) funeral ceremonies, the two older children are very close to teenagers.

Daughter Charlotte's affordable look is set to sell out soon.

She wears navy canvas by Hampton with a cute chambray jumpsuit by Spanish brand sfera, while George beams happily at the camera in a £55 Ralph Lauren polo shirt.

Prince Louis (4) wore 40-pound shorts from Trotters.
