Development area in Forst: 23 applicants for 13 parcels

Construction will soon begin in the new Forster building area “Templhoffeld”: there are 23 applicants for the 13 parcels.

The municipality of Wessobrunn awarded the development work and also set the square meter price.

Wessobrunn/Forst – From the point of view of the municipality of Wessobrunn, the award of the development work in the new building area "Templhoffeld" in Forst went very well.

The cheapest provider, the local company "Kölbl", had submitted an offer for 996,000 euros and was then awarded the contract.

"The estimated cost of 1.4 million euros was significantly undercut," said Mayor Georg Guggemos.

Once this major cost factor was known, the municipality was then able to set the price for the building land.

The reduced square meter price, which only locals can enjoy, is 200 euros.

In the first step, 13 of the 19 building plots owned by the municipality will be awarded.

It is already clear that not everyone who wants to build there will get a chance: there are 23 applicants for the 13 plots.

"By the deadline of November 28, 23 applications had been received," Guggemos explained at the most recent municipal council meeting.

18 applicants came from Forst.

There was one interested party each from Wessobrunn, Haid and Paterzell.

"One application came from Seefeld and one even from Hamburg," explained Guggemos.

The municipal council will now evaluate the respective applicants on the basis of the points determined in advance and allocate the building sites accordingly.

"We want to send the confirmations and rejection letters promptly," says the head of the town hall, who is pleased about the lively interest in the building sites.

Meanwhile, the "Kölbl" company had already begun work on the access road.

According to the plan, these should be completed by around mid-August next year.

The surveying work was also carried out recently.

"We then want to draw up the notary contracts quickly after the award," explained Guggemos when looking at the planned timetable for the new construction area.

The name of the street that will lead through the new "Templhoffeld" construction area has already been decided: suggestions such as "Am Rand" or "Auf der Wiesn" came from the population, which caused laughter when they were presented to the municipal council.

"Beautiful view", "Neue Straße" or "Panoramaweg" did not make it onto the short list of names either.

During the discussion, it quickly became apparent that the administration's proposal to use the old field name "Rech-thal" was well received by the members of the municipal council.

Finally, there were the finer points, such as whether an "Am" should be put in front or whether there should be an ending with "-feld" or "-straße".

The majority of the municipal council voted clearly for the street name "Rechthal".
