Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani considered that the ratification of the anti-country resolution at the United Nations General Assembly “reflects the hypocrisy of its adopters and lacks legitimacy and credibility.”
Kanaani said in a statement, "The hypocritical approach of the adopters of this resolution in using international institutions as a tool to put pressure on Iran is a prominent example of misusing lofty concepts and values of human rights to achieve narrow-minded political goals," referring to the efforts of Western countries to continue the project of intimidation of Tehran and psychological warfare against it.
Kanani added that the adopters of this resolution themselves violate all the basic and primary principles of human rights in the world, and instead of showing hypocritical sympathy for the human rights of the Iranian people, they must stop accompanying the US government's economic terrorism against the Iranian people and stop hosting terrorist groups, reaffirming that respect for human rights It is one of the principles and foundations of his country.
He pointed out that his country has always been serious about promoting human rights and fulfilling its international obligations, and is ready in the process of improving the status of human rights in the world for dialogue and constructive cooperation within the framework of mutual respect, non-discrimination, justice, fairness, and distance from political goals.
