Loire-Atlantique: at Le Croisic, a gang of minors harassed the elderly and the homeless

Since February 2022, a group of minors domiciled in Croisic (Loire-Atlantique) has been in the sights of the police.

These young individuals, aged 15 to 17, were suspected of attacking property but also people.

Victims with one thing in common: their vulnerability.

In addition to these misdeeds, this gang is suspected of theft, violence and damage, in particular to public furniture, committed with homemade firecrackers made from hydrochloric acid.

The gendarmes who closely followed these actions managed to identify several suspects.

Monday, December 12, they took action to challenge them.

This intervention mobilized the soldiers of the communities of Guérande brigades, the research brigade and the Surveillance and Intervention Platoon (PSIG) of Saint-Nazaire.

Nine individuals were taken into custody.

Two adults were cleared.

The seven minors are the subject of a summons before the juvenile court.

Three will go before the judge in February 2023 and the other four in March 2023. Among this quartet, two individuals are subject to judicial review and a removal order from the city of Le Croisic.
