More and more pensioners are having problems paying for their lives in Germany.

Pensioner Marlis has found a solution for this – and is now living in the lap of luxury.

Tunis – The numbers are frightening.

More and more people in Germany are at risk of poverty.

According to the Federal Statistical Office, the poverty risk rate is 15.8 percent.

The high inflation is likely to affect many people who are already living on the financial limit even more.

It is also often the case that pensioners are no longer able to relate to life.

Pension abroad: 200 euros rent for a whole house

This is also the case with 74-year-old Marlis.

The trained nanny receives a monthly pension of 954 euros – that's not a lot of money for a life in Germany.

So she took the plunge and emigrated.

She moved to her favorite holiday destination, Tunisia, all by herself, as reported by

RTL

.

No financial worries plague them there.

Groceries, rent and the like are much cheaper there.

With a small pension you can almost lead a life of luxury there.

Marlis lives in a 70 square meter house and pays around 200 euros in rent including utilities.

Many a pensioner living in Germany can only dream of that.

Pensioner emigrates: Five euros for a meal in a restaurant

Dining out in Tunisia is also an absolute bargain.

When eating together with her friend, the pensioner only pays ten euros for two main courses, starters and several drinks.

Five euros for a complete menu would be unthinkable here in Germany.

For emigrant Marlis they are part of everyday life.

It all sounds great, but is it really that easy?

If you emigrate as a pensioner, you must inform the German pension insurance.

Otherwise there could be problems with the further transfers.

Once this is done, moving to another country is usually possible for every retiree.

If you also want to give up your life at home.
