The Moosburg water rescue service warns in the Freising district urgently "before stepping on ice surfaces" that are not monitored.
District
- The Moosburg water rescue spokesman Martin Hofmann warns: You must not enter unapproved "and therefore life-threatening" ice surfaces.
Hofmann continues: "Ice covers on natural bodies of water should be avoided." Anyone who still wants to do winter sports on the ice "should basically only go to patrolled bodies of water and never go on the ice alone."
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
There is danger to life
The spokesman continues: "Because of the low temperatures, a person who has broken through the ice loses consciousness within a short time.
The danger of drowning is very high.” If you still need help: The rapid response groups of the Moosburg water rescue service and other water rescue organizations are on call around the clock.
