Lufthansa is adding five new destinations to its program from Frankfurt Airport.

From April onwards, people will go to an island and holiday regions more often.

Frankfurt – Frankfurt Airport is still a long way from the traffic before the corona pandemic.

But the trend is clearly pointing upwards.

The operator Fraport counted almost 4.1 million passengers in November, around 41 percent more than a year earlier.

The largest airport in Germany is still almost 19 percent away from the 2019 value, reports fnp.de.

The published Lufthansa summer flight plan, which will apply from April 23, should have aroused wanderlust in one or the other.

The airline will fly to five new destinations from its headquarters at Frankfurt Airport.

5,200 flights per week are to start from the hubs in Frankfurt and Munich.

That is 87 percent of the connections that Lufthansa put on the runway before Corona, as the airline reports.

From April there will be five new destinations from Frankfurt Airport with Lufthansa's summer flight schedule.

Lufthansa offers flights to popular holiday regions from Frankfurt Airport

The airline flies twice a day to London-Gatwick, in the south of London, with flight numbers LH1520 and LH1522.

It is the third London airport that Lufthansa offers in its flight schedule.

The airline is thus securing participation in the growth potential of the Greater London area.

With Belfast and Gatwick, Lufthansa will be flying to a total of eleven destinations in Great Britain and Northern Ireland from April 23, Lufthansa announced.

Asturias is new to the flight schedule.

Lufthansa connects the region on the Spanish Atlantic coast around Ovideo and Gijon with Frankfurt Airport three times a week.

In addition, Lufthansa says it will be taking Skopje on for the first time from April 23.

The capital of North Macedonia is served up to twice a day.

Biarritz (France) is also a new addition to Lufthansa's destinations.

From April 29th, the seaside resort on the Atlantic coast will be served on Saturdays, as Lufthansa explains.
