Same tangled decor, same desolation, same extreme precariousness that the cold has made more acute than ever.
This Friday morning, less than a month after the last operation to "shelter" more than 900 people from the recurring camp on Boulevard de la Chapelle in Paris (18th century), this time 771 migrants, men, women and children, mostly Afghan nationals, who were dislodged and transported to accommodation centers in Paris and throughout Île-de-France.
The prefecture justified this new operation – the nineteenth this year – by the triggering of the extreme cold plan, and the opening of 1088 dedicated places in Île-de-France, including 232 in Paris.
