Staff shortages: Postbank branch in Bad Tölz again restricts opening hours

It was not uncommon for customers to find the door locked at the post office on Hindenburgstrasse in Bad Tölz.

Another restriction applies until the end of the year.

Bad Tölz - Again and again, Postbank customers were faced with closed doors at the branch on Hindenburgstraße in Bad Tölz.

This is also the case this week on Wednesday morning – according to customers without giving reasons.

A sign was attached that exceptionally open on Wednesday afternoon.

Postbank in Bad Tölz only open in the afternoon on Wednesdays

At the request of the Tölzer Kurier, Postbank spokesman Oliver Rittmaier explained: “The branch in Bad Tölz is always open with the regular opening hours.

Due to staff shortages in the branch team, we can currently only open the branch there to a limited extent on Wednesdays up to and including December 28th - from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.." The regular opening hours would apply on all other days of the week.

Customers were informed about the opening hours with notices in the branch and on www.postbank.de/filialen.

“Customers can see the opening times there on a daily basis,” said the spokesman.

Branches with irregular opening hours are marked with a red exclamation mark.

There is also an interactive map under the address that shows the way to the nearest branch.

Hope: In the new year, the post office in Bad Tölz will be open again as normal

Rittmaier explains that due to the currently tense personnel situation, absences can only be compensated to a limited extent.

However, the self-service area is accessible as usual, even if the branch is closed.

For consignments that are ready for collection, the storage periods would be extended accordingly.

The spokesman assumes “that we can fully return to regular opening hours in the new year”.

It is not the first time that the Tölzer Postbank branch has reduced opening hours due to staff shortages.
