Netflix launches the last chapters of the series "Harry & Meghan" 5:24

The final three episodes of Harry and Meghan's Netflix documentary series premiered Thursday.
The first three episodes, broadcast last week, dealt with the early days of the couple's relationship, the relentless media attention they have faced and what Harry referred to as "unconscious bias" within the royal family.
In the last few chapters, Harry details the estrangement with his relatives, the havoc that recent years have wreaked on the couple, and his new life in California.

Buckingham Palace reiterated Thursday that it will not comment on the docuseries, and that royal engagements continue.

Meghan, grateful for her relationship with Queen Elizabeth
The Duchess opened up about her first royal engagement to Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, shortly after the couple's wedding.

"It was great," she said, describing how the queen put a blanket over their knees on a car ride.
Meghan was glad to have a figure like her after being so close to her own grandmother.
"I treated her like my husband's grandmother," she said.
"We laughed".

His popularity causes tensions with other royals
The couple said their popularity with the public caused problems within the royal household.
His Australian tour was described in the documentary as a turning point.
Harry said Meghan's popularity, in particular, caused problems at the palace, recalling similarities to his mother Diana, who entered the royal family and was beloved by the public.
"The problem is when someone marries into the family, which should be a supportive act, steals the spotlight or does the job better than the person who was born to do it. That upsets people. It changes the balance Harry said.
The couple recalled how the media coverage turned negative, associating Meghan more and more with racist topics such as drugs, crime or terrorism.

Meghan contemplated suicide
Doria Ragland, Meghan's mother, said her daughter told her she had thought about taking her own life after being constantly "harassed by these vultures" in the media.
"For her to really think about not wanting to be here... That's not easy for a mother to hear," Ragland said.
Harry said that he "never thought it would get to that stage", and the fact that it did left him feeling "mad and ashamed".

Meghan said she wanted to ask for help but was prevented from doing so out of fear that it would affect the image of the institution.
The duchess later spoke of her struggles in an official royal documentary, thanking a reporter who asked how she had felt.
"Not many people have asked me if I'm okay," she said.
More controversy surrounding the birth of Archie
The couple recalled how their desire to maintain some privacy around the birth of their first child caused a significant backlash.
"The amount of abuse we received ... for not wanting to serve our son on a silver platter was unbelievable," Harry said.
It was even said that the couple were selfish for not posing for the traditional photo shortly after the birth of a royal baby, and Harry remembers seeing a social media post of a couple walking on either side of a chimpanzee along with the caption : "The royal baby leaves the hospital."
Meghan, "food for wolves"
The duchess says she did everything she could to make the royal family "proud" but there came a time when "the bubble burst" and there was a deluge of negative media coverage.
"I realized that they were not just throwing me out to the wolves, they were giving me away as food for the wolves," he said.
Harry believes the press understood that the palace was not going to protect Meghan, and once that happens "the floodgates open."
The Duchess received death threats.
The documentary touches on how a hate campaign against the couple was built on social media, with the main focus on Meghan.
"The severity of what has happened to her and what...has happened to us, and what continues to happen to her, that has to be acknowledged," Harry said.
Meghan recalls how the family's security team has a protocol for when a tweet like "Meghan just needs to die" is seen online.
"That is what really is in the world, because people create hate. And I am a mother," she said.
"That's my real life."
"And that's the piece when you look at it and say, 'You're making people want to kill me,'" the duchess added.
"It's not just a tabloid. It's not just a story. You're making me scared. Right?"

'Terrifying' fight at Sandringham
Harry recalled how he had traveled to the royal residence at Sandringham for a meeting to discuss the couple's future role in the family.
"It was terrifying to see my brother yelling at me and my father telling me things that just weren't true, and my grandmother sitting quietly and taking it all in," Harry said.
And the relationship between the two brothers continued to worsen.
"The saddest thing was the rift that was created between me and my brother, so now he's siding with the institution," Harry said.
Harry spoke about a joint statement issued in January 2020, in which the brothers denied a press report alleging that a rift in the royal family was caused by "William's bullying attitude".
In this Netflix episode, Harry claims he was unaware of the statement.
"Nobody had asked my permission to put my name on a statement like that," he said.
"They were happy to lie to protect my brother, and yet for three years they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us," he added.
The media, guilty of abortion
Harry blamed the media for putting undue stress on his wife.
Meghan recounted that she suffered a miscarriage in July 2020, after moving to Santa Barbara, California, and recalled that she was stressed because the British newspaper The Mail on Sunday had published a private letter to her father, Thomas Markle.
"I was pregnant. The truth is, I wasn't sleeping. The first morning we woke up in our new house was when I miscarried," Meghan said.
"I think my wife had a miscarriage because of what the Mail did," Harry added.
"I saw it all".
"Now, do we absolutely know that the miscarriage was created, caused by that? Of course not. But considering the stress it caused her, the lack of sleep, and the timing of the pregnancy, how many weeks she was, I can say, from what I saw, that the abortion was caused by what they were trying to do to her," he added.
CNN contacted The Mail on Sunday and its publisher Associated Newspapers Limited for comment, with no response until Thursday.
Harry and Meghan: timeline of their romance
The move to Hollywood meant six weeks without press coverage
Harry said it took reporters six weeks to learn that the couple had moved into the Hollywood home of writer-director Tyler Perry before finally publishing the location of their new home.
He also recalled the measures taken to prevent the paparazzi from taking photos of the couple.
"These big poles are basically building a fence to stop the paparazzi from taking pictures 1,000, 1,500 feet away," Harry said.
"And as ridiculous and absurd as it is, you have to laugh about it, because it's crazy."
Perry then claims that people were cutting through the fence surrounding the property, sneaking in, and that there were "helicopters 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
“No accountability”
Harry talks about coming home for his grandfather Prince Philip's funeral in April 2021.
Although Harry says neither he nor the rest of the family wanted to discuss the situation surrounding Harry and Meghan that day, he did discuss it with his father and brother.
He said Prince William and King Charles were "focused on the same misinterpretation of the whole situation."
"I've had to come to terms with the fact that we're probably never going to get a genuine accountability or a genuine apology," Harry said.
California is now your home
Harry reminds viewers that Archie spent only the first five months of his life in the UK before the family moved to California, and that his daughter Lilibet was born in the United States.
"This is her home, this is Lili's home, and this is our home," Harry said, adding that life is very different for the family in the US. "I get to do things with our kids that I could never do in the United Kingdom".
