The International Youth Chamber in Damascus launched its annual closing ceremony at the Dama Rose Hotel, which included a presentation of the most prominent projects and events.
And the achievements that were achieved during the year, in addition to honoring the sponsors and partners who played a key role in activating the principle of partnerships for goals.
Wael Kayali, Director of Tourism in Rural Damascus, explained in a special statement to SANA reporter that the Ministry of Tourism is a permanent supporter of all projects that enable members of society to have a positive impact and translate their love for their country through pioneering projects, pointing out that Syrian youth are the hope and the right investment for the future, and the Ministry seeks To combine the creative spirit they enjoy with the experiences they gain through the young room.
Shadi Al-Azma, Chairman of the Local Board of Directors of the Damascus Chamber for the year 2022, indicated that the International Youth Chamber in Damascus implements a number of pioneering and effective projects every year within 4 domains: leadership, business, societal influence, international cooperation, and individual development in order to leave a positive impact on society and create opportunities and inspiring experiences for young people, pointing out He pointed out that the Chamber's projects fall within the framework of its strategic vision for the current year and contribute to consolidating the principle of effective participation among all sectors in general and lay the foundations for more important works, successes and projects.
Dr. Khanum Marani, Secretary of the Chamber, stated that this ceremony crowns the efforts of more than two hundred volunteers in the Damascus Chamber during 350 days of fruitful work. The young room was keen to activate and develop its volunteer members through development projects.
The local chairman of the International Youth Chamber, lawyer Muhammad Issa, explained that the chamber is a global non-profit organization for young active citizens between the ages of 18 and 40. It is spread in more than 5,000 chambers in more than 100 countries around the world. Its members seek to create a positive impact by carrying out projects. It works to develop the individual, which reflects positively on society.
It is noteworthy that the International Chamber of Syria was established in 2004 under the supervision of the International Chamber of Commerce, and currently includes 9 local chambers: Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Lattakia, As-Suwayda, Tartous, Al-Wadi, Banias and Ugarit.
