According to the nine-day weather forecast, the minimum temperature in the urban area is expected to drop to 10 degrees tomorrow, and it will turn colder on Sunday (18th).
The Observatory expects that the temperature along the coast of South China will pick up slightly in the middle of next week, but due to the replenishment of the monsoon, the area will still be quite cool in the morning and evening.

Strong winter monsoon arrives tonight
The Observatory stated that the air pressure in northern Guangdong is rising, and a strong winter monsoon is expected to reach the coastal areas tonight (16th).
At the same time, a broad cloud band is bringing rainy weather to Guangdong.
Miyun is forecast today, with one or two showers, the weather is cool, and the visibility in some areas is low at the beginning.

Looking ahead, tomorrow will be significantly colder and cloudy, and later it will gradually turn sunny and dry, and the temperature will drop to between 10 and 15 degrees. Compared with today's maximum temperature forecast of 18 degrees, it is expected to drop sharply by 8 degrees overnight.

Sunday is the Hong Kong Cycling Festival. The Observatory predicts that the weather on Sunday will be cold, sunny and very dry during the day. The temperature will further drop to between 8 and 13 degrees. Many areas in the New Territories may even be below 7 degrees. The chance is 5 degrees, or a record low temperature after winter this year.
The Observatory also predicts that tomorrow and Sunday, the highland and offshore winds will reach the level of gale, and the wind chill effect will be significant. It also pointed out that those who plan to carry out outdoor activities should beware of the possible dangers of strong winds and avoid prolonged exposure to cold winds.
