The MDA team that arrived at the scene found her without signs of life and had to pronounce her dead. The investigation shows that apparently a matron driver hit an 18-year-old Haifa resident pedestrian while she was walking on the path of the matron and left the scene. The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the spot.

At the end of preliminary investigation operations, Merhav examiners arrested a Matron driver, a 39-year-old resident of Shafaram, for questioning at the examiner's unit.
