The fire brigades in the Dachau district had to respond to various accidents in the evening and at night.

A tree fell onto the road on the B471, hitting two vehicles.

Three people were seriously injured.

At around 1:20 a.m., a train of trucks overturned on the highway.

District – The police headquarters in Upper Bavaria has reported a high number of accidents in the past 24 hours.

In many cases, the cause of accidents is not adapted to road and weather conditions, in addition to snow and ice.

After the fatal accident on Wednesday afternoon on the B471, the police and fire brigades had to respond to several accidents in the district, in which three people were seriously injured and one was slightly injured.

Accident on Wednesday evening: Tree falls on B471

On Wednesday evening around 6.45 p.m., a 28-year-old from the district of Freising with a Renault and a 50-year-old from the district of Fürstenfeldbruck with a BMW were on the B471 in Karlsfeld in the area of ​​​​the local quarry ponds at Obergrashof.

In the BMW was a 46-year-old passenger who also comes from the Fürstenfeldbruck district.

For reasons that have not yet been clarified, a tree standing on the side of the road fell onto the road and hit the Renault and the BMW, as the Dachau police said.

The driver of the BMW had to be rescued from her car by the fire brigade using heavy equipment.

All three vehicle occupants were seriously injured and taken to nearby clinics by rescue services for further treatment.

Both cars, which were no longer drivable and caused total material damage of around 20,000 euros, had to be recovered by a towing company.

The roadway had to be completely closed at times to record the traffic accident and to recover the vehicles.

The fire brigades of the surrounding communities were used for rescue and traffic control measures.

Frontal collision thanks to summer tires

A 43-year-old man from Cologne was on the road at around 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday with summer tires on slippery roads.

He drove his Daimler along the main road in Sulzemoos, coming from Wiedenzhausen in the direction of the A8.

In a curve, he got into oncoming traffic due to icy winter conditions and his inadequate vehicle equipment - according to the police, the 43-year-old had only mounted summer tires - and there collided head-on with a BMW that was being driven by a 54-year-old from the Dachau district.

Both people were unharmed.

Total property damage to the Daimler and the BMW was around 35,000 euros.

The two vehicles, which were no longer drivable, were recovered by towing companies.

Opel encounters oncoming traffic in a curve

A 30-year-old from the Dachau district drove his Opel on the 2047 state road from Unterzeitlbach towards Kleinberghofen on Wednesday around 5:30 p.m.

Due to ice, he got into oncoming traffic in a curve and touched the Nissan of a 55-year-old.

It went off the road and stopped in the ditch.

Behind the Nissan drove a 20-year-old in his Opel.

He could no longer avoid it and also collided with the 30-year-old's car.

No people were injured.

The three vehicles suffered material damage totaling around 16,000 euros.

Car comes off the road and hits a tree

In Bergkirchen, around 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday, a 19-year-old from Dachau crashed his Ford into a tree.

He was on his way from Günding towards Unterbachern.

In the wooded area there, he lost control of his vehicle due to inappropriate speed on the slippery winter road and collided with a tree to the left of the road in the direction of travel.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

His passenger, a 15-year-old from the Dachau district, suffered minor injuries that had to be treated in a nearby clinic.

The car and the tree, which was destroyed as a result of the collision and had to be felled, resulted in property damage totaling around 3,000 euros.

The car, which was no longer drivable, had to be recovered by a towing company.

Truck overturns on the Autobahn - A8 closed for a long time

The fire brigade had to move out during the night on Thursday, among other things, to an accident on the motorway, in which, fortunately, no one was injured.

At around 4.44 a.m., a truck train overturned on the A8 shortly after the Odelzhausen junction due to the slippery winter road.

The Autobahn towards Munich therefore had to be completely closed.

Among other things, the Dachau volunteer fire brigade was called with several other fire brigades and rescue services on the A8 motorway in the direction of Stuttgart.

Since the rear part of the truck was on the road, the police requested the fire brigade to secure it.

The salvage work lasted a few hours because the cargo had to be unloaded by hand beforehand.

Traffic was diverted to the Odelzhausen junction.

The diversion was via the U55.

Due to the weather conditions, there were also disabilities here.

The winter service was already in action.
