A deadly car accident occurred in Tung Chung this morning (16th), resulting in 2 deaths, 1 critical condition and 9 injuries.
Among the dead was a foreman surnamed Lai (52 years old). He was also the driver of the passenger truck and was crushed under the right front wheel of the compact truck. It took about 13 minutes for the firefighters to rescue him, but he suffered multiple serious injuries. Coupled with the suspicion of long-term hypoxia, he was unable to return to the hospital after being sent to the hospital, and eventually died.
It is understood that the deceased lived in Yitung Village, Tung Chung, and had three children with his wife, all of whom were adults.
After the accident, the deceased's widow, children, relatives and friends rushed to the hospital to find out. They were shocked to learn that Lai's rescue was ineffective and mourned unceasingly. He still hadn't calmed down at night and confessed that he had lost his family support.
It is reported that some workers revealed that the deceased was conscientious, diligent and friendly.
An injured person was trapped in the right front of the truck, trash cans and cleaning tools were scattered on the road, and another injured person fell to the ground waiting for rescue.

The incident happened at 9:18 a.m. today (16th). The E36A Long Win bus involved in the incident was carrying more than 20 people from Yuen Long to Tung Chung. The trucks and vans were parked on the left line of Yu Tung Road.
At the time of the incident, the Long Win bus first hit the compact truck, pushed it forward and then hit the van, which caused five cleaners (including the driver of the compact truck) in the central divider and roadside landscaping team, and A plumber was injured.
Among them, the driver surnamed Lin (64 years old) was found lying on the back of the compact truck and died of his injuries on the spot.
The foreman surnamed Lai (52 years old) was transferred from North Lantau Hospital to Princess Margaret Hospital, where he died at 1:22 pm.
A female cleaner surnamed Huang (58 years old) suffered a fractured pelvis. After being sent to the hospital, she was in critical condition and stayed in the intensive care unit.
A 51-year-old female cleaner suffered injuries to her hands and feet.
The remaining two workers, a 73-year-old male worker and a 54-year-old female worker, were resting in the car at the time of the incident and suffered only minor injuries.
In addition, 2 male and 4 female passengers (aged between 28 and 94) on the bus were also sent to hospital with minor injuries.
The male bus driver surnamed Wu (28 years old) was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently being detained for investigation.
