Icy wind, bitterly cold temperatures and repeated amounts of snow: Winter has had Munich firmly in its grip since Wednesday and is causing chaos in the city.

Munich – There is jittering, sliding and unfortunately also waiting: The ice age has led to several serious accidents in the S-Bahn network.

In addition, 80 flights were canceled at the airport, and 100 had significant delays.

Snow and ice led to chaotic conditions for passengers and travelers in Munich.

The good news: From Monday it will be much milder.

But that's also too mild for a white Christmas.

Nobody needs to hope for that in the Isar metropolis.

"The current status of the weather models shows a completely green Christmas," explains qualified meteorologist Dominik Jung.

The salvage with a loading crane and winch took hours.

Accident in the old town: woman is taken to the hospital

A 31-year-old had to be treated as an outpatient in the hospital on Thursday with a laceration on the head.

The woman from Hof ​​had caused an accident in the old town around 4:40 p.m.

When she just walked across Sonnenstrasse, she slipped on the road.

The woman crashed into a car and then onto the ground.

Two of the three lanes had to be closed for several hours while the accident was being recorded.
