Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer thanked the police and judiciary for their “first-class work” after finding most of the loot from the Green Vault.

"Saxony says: Thank you," said the CDU politician on Saturday.

Only through the determined and professional work of the police and public prosecutors could the perpetrators be identified, arrested and the crime solved.”

Dresden/Berlin - The investigators announced on Saturday that they had secured large parts of the stolen jewels from the Green Vault in Berlin the night before.

The valuable pieces were stolen in Dresden during a burglary in November 2019.
