Meghan Markle brings tears to her eyes as she recounts her time before the exit.

She admits that all her efforts have been fruitless.

She failed the Royal Family, whose recognition she sought.

Montecito - The Netflix documentary "Harry & Meghan" reports on the predicament of the two royals who turned their backs on the British royal family.

Meghan Markle (41) and Prince Harry (38) document the tough decision phase with video cameras.

In the second and last part of the documentary, the Duchess of Sussex suddenly bursts into tears.

Overwhelmed by memories, she cannot hold back the tears.

Meghan Markle's royal efforts just weren't enough for benevolent feedback

Meghan Markle cries about how hard she was trying to 'fit in', trying so hard to fit in and make everything right.

But the realization hit her hard and still makes her cry today: Whatever she tried, it wasn't enough.

She didn't fit in with the royals, would never belong.

It was the quiet exit before they rumbled their farewells to the crown and resigned from their royal duties in front of the world in January 2020.

After moving to Canada, the couple lived with their now three-year-old son Archie in March 2020 on the estate of Tyler Perry (53), who is presented in the documentary as the godfather of daughter Lilibet, in Los Angeles.

From there they went on to Montecito in the same year, where they welcomed their daughter Lilibet (1) in June 2021.

Unexpected side effects of the Netflix documentary

During the walkabout, where the royals "mingled with the people", people congratulated the newly engaged couple from all sides and were euphoric about Meghan's appearance.

The Netflix documentary unveils what the Duchess thought of her first days in the spotlight as a royal bride-to-be.

She says the concept of these royal walks through crowds was alien and that she had no idea what to wear due to the dress codes within the royal family.

With a navy Mackage coat, a black Wolford "Colorado" turtleneck and knee-high Kurt Geiger boots, the "Suits" actress carried a real luxury accessory: the £545 Strathberry bag.

(633 euros).

The good piece sold like lightning despite the not exactly cheap price and is now apparently experiencing a revival thanks to the documentation.

Prince Harry: "It was my decision.

She [Meghan] never asked to leave"

It happened on the "Flight to Freedom" from London to Canada, reports the Duchess.

One of Prince Harry's employees on the flight crew would have lifted his hat and expressed his appreciation for all that she had done for the country [England].

Meghan says: "It was the first time I felt someone saw the sacrifice, not for my own country but for this country.

It is not mine."

She replied to the employee that she was "trying so hard," to which he replied, "I know you did, ma'am."

Prince Harry also has something to add.

He says: “It was my decision to [leave].

She [Meghan] never asked for it."

The Duke of Sussex notes that due to his wife's media abuse and her struggle with growing lethargy, he had "no choice" but to pull out.

The navel-gazing in the documentary was not pleasant for Meghan and Harry either, but that was the price to review the events from their point of view, which was documented elsewhere in the series.
