Temperatures are freezing.
This Saturday will be marked by dry but very cold weather in most of the country, which is now well into winter.
Friday evening, the -10°C mark was reached in Strasbourg, for the first time in December since 2010. And the temperatures even dropped to -19.4°C overnight in Buhl Lorraine in Moselle…

The morning frosts are very severe in places, most often from -7 to -3 degrees over the northern three-quarters of the country, and sometimes from -10 to -8 degrees, especially in the Northeast.
Minimum temperatures will only remain positive in the southernmost regions, from the Mediterranean shore to the south of the Midi-Pyrénées and Aquitaine.
Between -1 and 5 degrees are expected in Brest this Saturday, -1 and 1 in Paris, -4 and 0 in Lyon, -7 and 0 in Lille or - 11 and 2 in Clermont-Ferrand.
Temperatures often negative during the day
During the day, temperatures will often remain negative in the northeast quarter, between -3 degrees and 1 degree.
They will not exceed 0 to 2 degrees in Auvergne, the north of Rhône-Alpes and the rest of the northern half, with the exception of the tip of Brittany and the coasts.

They will still reach 6 to 11 degrees in the Southwest and 10 to 16 around the Mediterranean.

The low sky is likely to persist all day, from the plain of Alsace and the Val de Saône to Bresse.
Elsewhere, beautiful clearings are to be expected in the afternoon, but a few rain showers will touch the eastern side of Corsica at times.
The mistral will blow strongly, between 60 and 80 km/h in gusts in the lower Rhône valley.
