League jumbo Visby, which has not won a single match this season, only had five regular players available for today's away match against second jumbo Sjuhärad.
Then 57-year-old Marie Söderberg had to lace up her shoes again, and break her own record as the league's oldest player ever.
- Really fun, she tells Gotlands Media.
"We played well"
Söderberg jumped in with just over two and a half minutes left to play, and in total there was five minutes and eight seconds of playing time in the game, which Sjuhärad won 93–43.
- We played good defense in the beginning.
Then Sjuhärad started making his three-pointers.
We have had very poor conditions and I am happy that we managed to complete the trip and the match.
Disease has ravaged us and we haven't been able to train.
It's only me and N'dea (Flye, top scorer in Visby with 19 points) who kept us healthy, says Söderberg, who took a defensive rebound in the match.
Looking forward to more matches
Now the question is whether Söderberg will break his own record sometime in the future?
- Now I'm hungry for more, she says.
