On the screen, Guy Pines and Doreen Atias always looked like one of the pairs with the most chemistry and closeness, but the truth is that now behind the scenes a deep conflict is revealed.

"Israel Hayom" has learned that Atias is suing Pines for a sum of about half a million shekels and they are expected to meet in court soon.

• Good evening with Guy Pines: Will there be tomorrow too?

Atias, former host of a well-known fashion segment on "Arab Tov" with Guy Pines, whose distribution of dragons to the dressers in the swamp has become associated with the program, filed a lawsuit in which she demands from the production companies of the program NIS 472,728 in compensation following the terms of her employment and the termination of her work in the system in April 2021.

In the lawsuit, which was filed by attorney Vared Kiner through the office of attorney Erna Lin against the media companies Pins Giladi and Faymgame, Atias explains that she submitted a fashion corner for about 18 years with dedication and professionalism, despite the fact that, to her displeasure, she was employed in contractual relations based on invoices.

The lawsuit reads: "The defendants decided to take advantage of the plaintiff's dream of becoming an influential figure in the world of fashion and their ability and power to fulfill that dream in order to deprive her of her rights under the law... acted in improper ways, in bad faith, cleverly and consciously in order to evade their obligations according to the law The work of the TV industry was the 'Wild West'... thereby causing it financial and non-financial damages and even more so during the Corona period."

Atias was fired in April 2021 during the Corona crisis and according to her without severance pay and cogent rights.

"Without prior notice, without her having a lawful hearing procedure, and without her rights being paid, this after about 18 years in which she carried out her work with dedication."

In the statement of claim, she describes that she was hired and opened a case independently according to the demand of the production, when she lacked bargaining power, and under conditions that were dictated to her without room for discussion.

She explains that by virtue of this way of engagement, she did not receive benefits even though she became a team member who is identified with the program and participates in commitments such as PR events and more.

According to her, she is forbidden to engage in her field of activity in other media, while she receives no special compensation for the blanket ban.

Other activities sometimes required special permission.

"It will be clarified that Pines companies allowed other presenters in the program who contracted as service providers to engage regularly in their field of activity with competing media outlets... The plaintiff was given permission by Mr. Pines to host the fashion week event in April 2021, when he emphasizes to her that if it wasn't for the Corona period, he would not He would have approved her to host the event."

During the corona virus and due to a small number of events, the number of corners she submitted decreased significantly, and she describes in the lawsuit that she had to "chase" the production every week to clearly see if she had a corner.

In the period between March 2020 and April 2021, according to the lawsuit, she submitted few corners in the program, the reduction of which, according to her, tangibly hurt her income and in fact they were indifferent to her situation and did not lift a finger in an attempt to reduce her damage.

Atias also cites as an example that due to her classification as an independent contractor, she was not allowed to go out on a contract.

She states that the last corner took place in April 2021 and in fact "Defendant 1 ceased to provide the plaintiff with a real opportunity to submit a corner in the program and in fact fired the plaintiff unilaterally without any prior notice".

Atias also shares about the work behind the scenes: "cut limits" according to which she was asked to act in the corners, "vetoing programs broadcast on competing channels or key figures in the fashion world, sometimes for unprofessional considerations such as in relation to those who had a personal conflict with Mr. Pines."

At the end of 2021, when the network heard about negotiations on Light Night on Network 13, her work as a dresser was terminated.

In conclusion of the lawsuit, Atias requests recognition of an 18-year employment relationship, including unlawful dismissal, failure to hold a hearing, and lack of advance notice.

The breakdown of the damages that Atias is demanding: 175,000 NIS for dismissal, 30,000 NIS for pension deposits, 13,000 NIS for loss of earnings due to non-payment of pension deposits, 50,000 NIS for wrongful dismissal, 9,700 NIS for failure to notify, non-delivery Notice regarding the terms of employment and changes about 20,000 NIS, vacation redemption about 16,000 NIS, recovery about 2,400 NIS, travel about 5,800 NIS and non-monetary compensation without proof of damage 150,000 NIS.

The total claim, as mentioned: NIS 472,728.

Doreen Atias said in response: "At this point we will leave it like that."

The Guy Pines system responded: "We are saddened both as a system and especially as human beings that Doreen Atias is spitting fiercely at a well she has been drinking and drinking for years. The truth is that Doreen Atias ended her work on our programs on her own initiative after she accepted another job offer that tempted her at the competing Channel 13, and despite countless Attempts to convince her to stay with us.

And worse - while she hides and denies with a mask of lies the contacts with her from all those who thought they were her friends.

What else?

When she found herself unemployed also at the competitor's channel a few weeks later, she apparently chose a new livelihood option - to claim compensation from us for a working relationship that she herself chose not to manage with us all these years - being independent and owning a business in the field of fashion which she managed at the same time during that entire period.

"Her claim has no legal basis, more than that will become clear in court, under the section: Coercion of a favor."
