Elvira Öberg shows fine form.
Yesterday she won the pursuit start, and today it was close to a new podium in the mass start.
But a miss on the third shot and another on the fourth — where she missed the very last shot — left her 18 seconds behind Julia Simon in third (and another seven up to Lisa Theresa Hauser), and the podium looked to be gone.
1.5 seconds from the podium
But a furious final push made it a shocker in the end.
But Öberg's pick-up didn't go all the way.
In the end, Öberg was 1.5 seconds behind Anais Chevalier-Bouchet, who took third place.
- She does well, but doesn't make it all the way to the podium.
But still "strong", says SVT Sports expert Björn Ferry.
Hauser kept the lead from the fence into the finish, 12.3 seconds ahead of Julia Simon, who in turn was 1.9 seconds ahead of compatriot Chevalier-Bouchet.
